  • Start with a conversation, an event, or the 8-week programme.

“It’s a joyful journey.” That is how we like to think of the path families walk with their children, even on difficult days. Joyful Journeys is a Nairobi-based organisation that equips parents, caregivers and educators with practical, evidence-based tools to support neurodivergent children.

Our story

Joyful Journeys was born out of a need for accessible, evidence-based support for families with neurodivergent children in Kenya. Our founder, Diana Ayoo, is a certified behavior analyst through QABA and IBAO. She is also a mother to a neurodivergent child, and has lived the challenges many Kenyan families face. She is supported by mentor and collaborative partner Dr. Jane Paul, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D). Meet them on the team page.

Our mission: Educate, Inspire, Innovate

  • Educate: provide comprehensive, evidence-based ABA training to parents, caregivers and professionals across Kenya, making expert knowledge accessible and culturally relevant.
  • Inspire: build a community of empowered caregivers, professionals and advocates who share hope and confidence.
  • Innovate: keep adapting ABA to local culture, resources and the real lives of Kenyan families.
