About this programme

At Joyful Journeys, we know it is hard being the parent of a child with developmental challenges, particularly children with autism spectrum disorders. Caregivers often start out overwhelmed and unsure what to do.

Our 8-week ABA training programme is built to change that. Across eight weekend sessions you learn practical, evidence-based strategies, practise them with coaching, and leave able to support your child, pupils or the children in your care with confidence.

Who it is for

Parents, grandparents, nannies and other caregivers, plus teachers and educators who work with children with developmental challenges. No prior ABA knowledge is needed.

Diana Ayoo, QABA, IBA

Certified Behavior Analyst (QABA, IBAO). DIAR Award and National PWD Inclusion Champion 2024. Mother to a neurodivergent child and proprietor of Ayira’s, a restaurant in Kilimani staffed by neurodivergent people.

Dr. Jane Paul, Ph.D., BCBA-D

Pediatric neurodevelopmental specialist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. CEO and Clinical Director of Excella Developmental Services in California, USA; co-founder of the Pan African Congress on Autism and founder of EDS Learning Institute.

Who can join?

Parents, caregivers, nannies, teachers and educators. You do not need any ABA background.

How much does it cost?

The programme is KES 30,000 for all eight weeks, as advertised for this intake. Please confirm the current fee with us when you register.

Where and when are classes?

At Ayira’s Cafe in Kilimani, Nairobi, on Saturdays at 2:00 PM, in person.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Completing the 8 weeks earns professional certification and recognition as a trained ABA therapy implementer.
